It all started on the road

Before there was a project, an app, or even a clear idea, there was just this: the road.

The sound of engines, conversations cut by the wind, and that unique feeling of freedom when you drive with friends.

We didn’t know where we were going, but we knew why we were driving.

Not for the destination. For the moment. For that instant when everything aligns: the machine, the road, the passion.

The beginnings

At that time, nothing was concrete. Just two friends, a few cars, improvised runs, and a recurring frustration:

"Where are you?"

"Wait, I lost you in the corner..."

We tried everything: WhatsApp, calls, walkie-talkies... but nothing matched our rhythm.

Too slow, too complicated, not made for us.

And one night, driving back from a run, something came up in the conversation:

"What if we created our own system? Something for us, for those who live the road like we do."

It was just a sentence. But it’s that sentence that started it all.

The idea

At first, we weren’t thinking about an app.

We just wanted a solution — something that keeps the convoy together, that connects without distracting.

A way to stay together without losing the joy of driving.

We scribbled ideas, imagined screens on café napkins, wrote down features we dreamed of having.

Nothing serious. Just a desire: that the road finally lives up to what we experience on it.

Doubt and vision

Days passed, ideas piled up.

Sometimes, we thought it was too big for us.

Then, the next day, we’d hit the road again, and everything made sense.

Because when you’re behind the wheel, when you see the light fall on the asphalt, when you hear the engine echo between mountain walls...

you realize you don’t really have a choice.

This project has to exist.

That’s where Strada1 took shape.
